Bursary Details

Students enrolled for degree studies in Accounting, Biological Sciences, Criminology, Information Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain, Retail Business Management, Food Sciences as well as Agricultural Sciences can apply for funding.

Candidate Requirements

  • Studying towards BCom Accounting, BAcc (CA stream)/BSc Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Botany, Zoology, Genetics and Biotechnology, and any Agricultural degree/Bachelor of Criminology, BA Law/BA Social Work with Criminology as major, BA Honours in Criminology/Food Technology (Food Tech) or Food Science degree/Degree or postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Quantitative Management (or similar quantitative degree), Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Data Engineering/BSc/BCom majoring in Information Technology/Systems Analysis/Bachelors of Commerce: Logistics (Quantitative Management), Bachelor of Science: Operational Research or related degree/qualification/Diploma in Retail Business Management
  • Good academic record
  • SA citizen
  • 27 years old and younger

Bursary Inclusion

The comprehensive bursary covers tuition and accommodation. In addition, bursary holders receive a monthly grocery allowance and enjoy access to the Shoprite Employee Wellness programme.
